ConvergeHR: Connecting Minds, Igniting Future Student Led HR Meet 2023

“ConvergeHR: Connecting Minds, Igniting Futures” was a student-led meet. It brought together participants from various MBA/BBA colleges, creating a unique opportunity for students to network and gain valuable insights into the dynamic field of Human Resources. The event aimed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical corporate HR practices, providing a platform for the exchange of ideas and insights among the participants. This gathering helped students tackle HR challenges efficiently and expanded their professional networks.

Purpose

The event’s key objectives were as follows:

  • To bridge the gap between academic knowledge and corporate HR practices.
  • To provide a platform for the exchange of examples regarding HR practices and insights.
  • To help students tackle HR issues/queries more efficiently.
  • To offer an opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and expand the professional networks.

Event Highlights:

A total of 105 participants from different institutions attended the ConvergeHR event. These participants represented a diverse range of colleges, including Kurukshetra University, MDU University, NIT Kurukshetra, Panipat, and Institutes from Karnal, as well as the Government Girls College in Panipat.

The Student Led Meet featured two main events: A Presentation Competition and Panel Discussions.

Best Presenter: Shiv Gahlawat and Pratima from MBA, PIET.

Runner-up in Presentation: Yogita and Madhu from MDU, Commerce Department.

Panel Discussions:

Best Panelist: Kumkum from IMSAR.

Runner-up Panelist: Tushar Singla from MBA, PIET.

Best Moderator: Mohini from MBA, PIET.

Event Description:

The event commenced with a warm welcome of all the participants and with an introduction to the theme of “ConvergeHR: Connecting Minds, Igniting Futures.” Participants were encouraged to network and engage in discussions throughout the day.

The presentation competition saw enthusiastic participation from the students, showcasing their knowledge and expertise in the field of HR. The winners demonstrated exceptional presentation skills and a deep understanding of the subject matter. The panel discussions provided a platform for students to share their insights and engage in thoughtful dialogues on various HR practices.
