Project Based Learning

International Platforms

Promotion of project based learning among the students in collaboration with various international institutes is another skill development initiative at PIET. Under this program, the selected students work for an extended period in response to an authentic, engaging and complex problem/challenge.

The programme is based on acquiring key knowledge, developing its understanding and applied skills through solving meaningful problems. It also serves to enhance the management and technical skills of young minds. Under this programme, students opt for a platform at Teesside University UK, Stevens Institute of Technology, USA, Technical University Sofia (Bulgaria), the University of Arkansas at Little Rock USA, Athens Information Technology, Greece, Ural Federal University, Russia and Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Ukraine. There are various other avenues provided to the students through the following

  • Education 4.0 initiatives
  • Participation and winning awards in national and internal Hackathons
  • Initiatives taken time to time such as one with the FICE (https://fice.in) in collaboration with UC Berkley in which innovators from different institutions across the country are trained and rewarded for successfully developing an innovative project.
