PIET QUEST- COLLEGES

We are born with a brain, but we develop it through learning various aspects of behavioural interactions with living and non-living objects around us, observations of many species doing the same, information gathering from books, elders, teachers, friends and foes. Such human beings then continuously participate in competitions in almost every aspect of life, and develop their skills and knowledge to a further level therby. Schools, colleges and universities are the institutions that try to govern the mechanisms of knowledge dissimination to all in the society and develop so called intellectuals. Competitions give one a chance to evaluate oneself in particular domain.
PIET organizes a PIET Quest- a quiz programme with the same spirit of identifying talented brains and award them at various levels since past 9 years. Since then it has expanded its reach to various schools, colleges in the state of Haryana, UP, Delhi/NCR etc. PIET QUEST COLLEGES – 2K16 identifies and award talented brains of college level students of various streams. Last year, we had about 14,000 participants in this level. This is a mind sport in which the candidates either as individuals (during first two rounds) or in teams (in final round) attempt to answer questions posed to them, in order to win prizes like Honda Activas, Bikes, Projectors, Printers, Tablets etc along with cash scholarships if they take admission to any of PIET courses.
The objective is to identify and encourage good students to look beyond their text book knowledge and establish a relationship between current happenings and learnt concepts. It expect participating students to ‘to think out of the box’ and answer questions related to General Knowledge, Science, History, Entertainment, Business, Government, Computer Science etc. The plan of the Quest is such that the students who have all round knowledge go to the last level for competing in front of the audience. Questions from all such domains again appear in the final round along with fastest finger first and rapid fire round. The college faculty of such participating institutions, who helps in the conduct of the competition, is felicitated with momento and gift by PIET. The college that is adjudged the “Best College” amongst all participating colleges is also awarded.
