Department of Management Studies (DMS), PIET organized a ‘Live Budget Session’ on1st February 2022 for the students. The event emphasized making students aware of the Budget presented by Finance minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.
Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Mishra, Head-DMS addressed the students about the session and enlightened them about the Union Budget. Then a pre-budget session was taken by Prof. Suresh Bedi, who explained to the students about the nuts and bolts of the Union Budget. He also explained the significance of the Union Budget in the wake of ongoing issues in our economy. He also advised students to pay more focus on major key points like Fiscal Deficit, Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, Government Expenditure, GST, Tax Concession on Housing loans, and Concession given to the farmer.
Students joined the event with their enthusiastic participation. The event was successful in its aim to sensitize the students about the Budget 22-23 and its relevance in the current scenario.
