A Guest Lecture was organised in an online mode by the Department of Management Studies at Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology on the topic “The Rise of Equity, Commodities, Forex and Crypto Trading as a Profession in India” on 3rd February 2022. The guest speaker was Mr. Prateek Goel, Associate, Investment Banking, Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services (MAKS), Gurgaon as a Full-time equity and Forex Trader and Investor.
The students and faculties welcomed the guest with a short address. In view of the rising popularity of digital and financial assets as an investment avenue among the young, urban, educated people of India, Mr. Prateek gave a lucid presentation on the fundamentals of successful trading and motivated students to become participants in capital markets. He elaborated the various concepts of equity and crypto trading from a basic level to advance level. He even emphasized the understanding and the impact of the budget in context of stock exchange and trading. Mr. Prateek also shared his journey and personal experiences of being into investment banking from more than 8 years till date. A few popular books were also discussed on how to become a good and intelligent investor. The lecture was highly informative and interactive. It was indeed a value addition to student’s curiosity of how to become a successful investor. His interactive session was enthusiastically received and lauded by the students of DMS.
