In continuation to PIET’S endeavor to transform lives through e-learning and to minimize the impact of the corona virus (COVID-19) outbreak on student’s learning, the Department of Management Studies arranged an expert lecture on “Supply Chain Management”.
Essentially, the world can be viewed as one large supply chain. Consumers and producers are constantly communicating with each other, and a product goes through many hands before reaching its destination. Supply chain management deals with major issues such as the growth of multinational corporations, partnerships, global brand expansion, and outsourcing. Everything that affects the world affects supply chain management, from fluctuating gas prices to environmental concerns. SCM is the single most important business discipline in the world today, and has only gotten more interconnected.
On these concerns Mr. Vibhore Khandelwal, Manager – SCM, Hafele India Pvt. Limited, delivered a session on “Supply Chain Management with reference to Corona Virus Pandemic” through Microsoft Team on 10th April 2020 for the students and Faculty of Department of Management Studies and Faculty of Department of Business Studies.
