GUEST LECTURE ON 17TH JULY, 2021 BY MS. POOJA RAWAL, VICE PRESIDENT GLOBAL FILINGS ON “INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS, PATENTS, TRADEMARKS, AND COPYRIGHT”

As we know that in the modern era, intellectual property rights play a significant role on trade of every nation. In this digitized world there stands a higher risk of creative ideas getting stolen without the consent of the author. Intellectual property rights are one of the sources of security for intangible properties. In this context an expert lecture on intellectual property rights covering patent, trademarks, copyrights and overview of patent filing and grant process in India was organized by Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Cell in association with Department of Management Studies on July 17th, 2021. The event was attended by more than 200 faculties from different streams such as Pharmacy, Management, and Engineering. Expert talk was delivered by Ms. Pooja Rawal Vice President Global filings on Intellectual Property Rights, Patents, Trademarks, and Copyright.
Initially the participants got to understand the importance of Intellectual property rights and risk involved of creative idea stolen. Later they were equiped with the knowledge, skills, and tools required for Intellectual property right. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Saurabh Garg, Chairman ED Cell.
The purpose of this workshop was to help participants understand the process challenges and rewards of Intellectual property rights. The ED Cell is privileged and proud at the moment and grateful to the Management Mr. Suresh Tayal Member Secretary and Mr Rakesh Tayal Vice Chairman PIET and worthy Director Prof. Shakti Kumar for their progressive outlook which always favors innovation and development.
