GUEST LECTURE ON 19TH JUNE, 2021 BY DR. SANDEEP PURWA, DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, CHAUDHARY RANBIR SINGH UNIVERSITY JIND, CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT AND COMPANY SECRETARY, ON “CAPITAL MARKET AWARENESS”

Department of Management Studies organized an expert lecture on the topic “Capital Market Awareness” dated 19th, June 2021.

The guest speaker for this expert lecture was Dr. Sandeep Purwa, from the Department of Commerce, Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University Jind. Expert for the session is a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary. Additionally, he is a doctorate from GJUS & T Hisar.

A total of 50 participants attended this expert lecture. Participants were from the MBA first year and the faculty members of DMS.  The session was flagged off by Head DMS Dr Akhilesh Kumar Mishra. He also introduced the expert speaker. The session revealed wonderful learnings about various concepts of building capital, expert also opined benefits of investing in equity shares of FMCG companies. Due to the immense competition, companies are working in a cost-efficient manner to achieve favorable tax regimes. The increasing demand for their products with increasing population and fashion trend has set a long growing path for the industries and the investors. Thus the session provided the students with wonderful insights.

Following are the main points that were addressed by the expert.

  1. Focus on post-tax earnings.
  2. Chase Purpose, not Money.
  3. Compounding is the Eighth Wonder in the World.
  4. Deploy your savings prudently to maintain or improve their value.

Dr. Ankur Sabharwal presented a vote of thanks to the expert speaker, and assured all the students for many more knowledgeable expert lectures in future through collaboration with worthy expert of the day. Additionally, Dr. Ankur also thanked the student coordinators; Bhavna, Bhumika, Shivangi, and Vivek for the active coordination.
