A case study session consists of several detailed situation, event or context those are used for discussion and learning. These can be taken from a real life situation or can be completely fictional. The purpose of a case study is to take the group closer to the real context of a situation or problem and identify its cause and solution. A case study analysis requires you to investigate a business problem, examine the alternative solutions, and propose the most effective solution using supporting evidence. In this regard Department of Management Studies, PIET, organized a session on “Case Study Writing” under the expert guidance of Prof. Sandeep Puri, Associate Professor at prestigious Asian Institute of Management, Manila, Philippines on 20th April 2020. The entire workshop was conducted through Zoom App for the Faculty of Department of Management Studies and Faculty of Department of Business Studies .The expert emphasized the value of case method in the learning process. It was intended for all those having interest in research and development of such teaching cases .The insight on case development, delivery and publication, provided by the expert is going to help immensely to Case researchers and writers interested in developing cases with teaching notes. We are thankful to our Management and Director for envisioning such learning activities.
