The institute auditorium has been named after the great scientist and former President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. His words, “Since I advocate extending education to the rural areas, I had great anxiety to visit this institute. In the era of woman empowerment, I am more impressed to find so many girls pursuing engineering and computer courses, which is a good sign for the country. On visiting this institute, I felt a sense of pride and satisfaction looking at the facilities provided to students for their upliftment, reflecting a spirit of dedication to education on the part of the PIET Management.”
Interior of the auditorium is beautifully structured, rising upward at almost a 35-degree with a seating capacity of 500 plus. It has an electronically operated multi-curtain stage, a stereophonic audio and sound system, LCD projectors, and facilities for video-conferencing and live media streaming. The entrance/exit doors are operative from in and outside so that no disturbance happens when the events are on. The Auditorium is a regular venue for conferences, conclaves, workshops, FDPs, STTPs, seminars and cultural events.
