As a part of its promise to the society to raise a competent class of professionals, PIET has taken upon itself to discharge the sacred responsibility to recognize the efforts & certify the performance of its students at convocation.
The 1st Convocation of the Institute was held in 2012 and degrees to 231 Graduates of Technology and Management Studies were conferred. Lt. Gen. (Dr.) D.D.S Sandhu, PVSM, ADC (Retd.) addressed to the passout students on the occasion of Convocation.
The 2nd Convocation of the Institute was held on 31st October, 2013 at which 400 graduates were awarded degrees in recognition of the value of work they had done in pursuit of knowledge. Dr. D. K. Paliwal, Member Secretary, NBA, delivered the Convocation Address to the passed out graduates. Sh. Rajiv Kumar, Global Head, Wipro Ltd. was the Guest of Honour on the occasion.
The 3rd Conovocation was christened on 2nd January, 2016 when 510 degrees in Engineering and Management were conferred upon recipients. Sh. Hardeep Kumar, IAS, Vice Chancellor, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, addressed the passed out students on this occasion. Prof (Dr.) S.K. Laroiya, Professor, Amity Business School, Amity University, Noida (Former Prof. in Economics, Hansraj College, Delhi) was the Guest of Honour. A Number of Medals for achieving the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Positions in various disciplines of Engineering and Management were also given away to the students. The dignitaries in their impactful addresses motivated the recipients to keep consolidating their learning at their Alma Mater by adopting constructive attitude, creative thinking, value-based work-culture & innovative spirit for excelling in life.
The 4th Convocation along with Alumni Meet of Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology took place on 28th Jan, 2018. Prof. (Dr.) Anil Dattatraya Sahasrabudhe, Hon’ble Chairman, AICTE graced the occasion as the Chief Guest on this auspicious occasion. He enlightened and motivated the graduates about their growth and bright career. He also initiated tree plantation campaign by planting the first tree and later on the big dignitaries and the rank holder students also planted trees to commemorate the gracious occasion. The virtual accessibility to these images is available on the website of PIET. On this occasion more than 1000 Degrees were awarded to graduates.
The 5th Convocation along with Alumni Meet of the Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology was held on 28th Jan, 2019. Prof. (Dr.) K K Aggarwal, Hon’ble Chairman, National Board of Accreditation was the Chief Guest on this auspicious occasion while Prof. (Dr.) Gajendra Simgh, Dean Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pt. B D Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak was the Guest of Honour. The Chief Guest delivered the Convocation Address to enlighten and motivate the Graduates about the future needs of the fast developing New India which are likely to offer golden opportunities, particularly in the fields relating to technology development. He also congratulated the PIET management for attaining NBA Accreditation for CSE Branch, which, he added, has put PIET much above others in promising quality education in Haryana.
In addition to it, the Medals and Prizes were also awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders by the Chief Guest, the Chairman, Member Secretary and Director of the Institute. On this occasion a Souvenir was also released by the Hon’ble Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) Anil Dattatraya Sahasrabudhe. In this souvenir, the best wishes were conveyed to the students for their bright future. Shri Hari Om Tayal, Chairman and Shri Suresh Tayal ji acknowledged the sincere efforts of the faculty and congratulated everyone for the success of the Convocation.
