PIET Maestros

Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology has always been known for its extravagant fests. Be it cultural, technical, sports, or academics, the Institute has always showcased all possible endeavors. Leaping with each passing year has now become a norm for the Institute. Setting benchmarks, and further surpassing them, is a trendsetter for the Institute.

Maestros 2024

The renowned event, Maestros, took place with its typical splendor from March 8th to March 10th, 2024. Every year, PIET aims to break its records for the most colleges participating in Maestros; this year, an amazing 120+ colleges signed up for the event. Students engaged enthusiastically in a wide range of technical and cultural events from March 8–10, 2024, demonstrating an extraordinary level of enthusiasm. The highlights of the event combined cultural events with the original concept of the “Hobby Expo” with advancements in technology through the “Tech Utsav.”

Distinguished specialists from different departments and schools, with expertise in technology and other cultural domains, presented the latest research findings and trends during the festival. Students had the opportunity to study concepts innovatively through these exercises. Maestros is a special combination of co-curricular and extracurricular activities like the Battle of the Bands, Nukkad Natak, folk, solo, duet, and group dance performances, poetry, debate, book reading, story narration, and shlok uchharan, which are part of innovative and integrated education.

Ultimately, the much-anticipated Star Night at Maestros on February 10th, an annual tradition, was held with the customary fanfare by Dr. Satinder Sartaaj, who put the cherry on top with his extraordinary musical performance. His songs mesmerized the audience, and the famous Haryanvi singer Jagbir Rathi made the stage pound with his popular performance during the much-awaited star night at Maestros. The entire performance released an unbridled burst of energy that captivated both the crowd and the artists on stage.

Maestros 2023

Maestros+ 2K23 was held with the customary trumpet blast from February 22nd to February 24th, 2023. It has been a regular feature for PIET to break its own records for participation in Maestros; however, this time 35 colleges took part in the event. February 22nd and 23rd witnessed an overwhelming response from various colleges. The students showed great fervor in participating in technical and cultural events.

During the fest, both distinguished experts in technology and other cultural fields from various colleges and elites from different departments introduced new research trends and findings. These activities offered a unique conceptual learning opportunity to the students.

As a part of innovative and integrated education, Maestros is a unique amalgamation of co-curricular and extracurricular activities such as street plays, dances, songs, ramp walk, AD-MAD show, poetry, theatre, choreography, techno-quiz, etc.

Finally, the star night on February 24th, 2023, a perennial feature for Maestros, was held with the usual fanfare, with singing, dancing, and laughter. The star attraction and talk of the town was Darshan Raval, who mesmerized the audience with his songs, while the pulsating echoes of his tunes rippled through flashing lights and sizzling music, rocking the stage. The overall ambiance unleashed unbridled energy on both the stage and among the audience.

Maestros 2022

PIET has been legendary in breaking its own record year after year when it comes to participation in Maestros. This year too witnessed an overwhelming response from participants across various schools and colleges from Haryana, as well as active participation from PIETians. The event, a two-day affair held from May 27th to May 28th, 2022, saw participants take part in a variety of technical and cultural events.

As the most awaited annual function, Maestros provides a unique opportunity for young enthusiasts to showcase their talent in a range of activities and programs, from solo dance, solo singing, and comic acts, to more academic and literary events like Spin the Yarn, Spell Bee, Crossword and Puzzle, Group Discussion, and Debate, among many other competitions.

The event also saw the presence of eminent Professor (Dr.) Maha Singh Punia from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He enlightened the students with his philosophy on life and success.

The Ramp Walk and the Fashion Show were two of the major events at Maestros this year. The theme of the fashion show was based on the clothing and attire of ancient Egypt, Rome, and Greece. The students of PIET participated in these events with zeal and enthusiasm. The students themselves designed the costumes for the show under the mentorship of talented faculty, showcasing their talents on stage through the ramp walk and fashion show. The Fashion Show metaphorically transported the audience into the ancient Greco-Roman world for a short time.

The major attraction of the event was the Star Night, the most sought-after event for the entire PIET. This year, the PIETians were graced by the presence of charismatic Bollywood singer Jubin Nautiyal, who bewitched the crowd with his hit numbers. The crowd grooved and moved rapturously to the tunes of Jubin as he performed live on stage. The event ended with much fanfare, leaving attendees with memories they would cherish forever.

Maestros 2020

Maestros 2020 was held with the customary trumpet blast from January 31st to February 3rd, 2020. This fest is a unique amalgamation of co-curricular and extracurricular activities such as street plays, dances, songs, ramp walk, AD-MAD show, poetry, theatre, choreography, techno-quiz, etc. This time, 66 colleges and about 59 schools took part in the event. The students showed great fervor in participating in the technical as well as cultural events.

January 31st witnessed an overwhelming response from various schools. Performances by the little rising stars of various schools were spellbinding. The Chief Guest for the day was Mr. Narender Nath, and the Guest of Honor was Mr. Samvit Kumar Nanda. They represent SWASTHI Company, Bangalore. Their main aim in attending was to discuss opening a training center in the near future for SMEs, to associate PIET with the world’s biggest retail corporation, Walmart.

February 1st and 2nd attracted the best student talent from across universities. The professional band show, stand-up comedy, fashion parade, solo, duet, and trio dance performances lifted the fun quotient of the program. On February 1st, the Chief Guest was Prof. Rajbir Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Pt. Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts, Rohtak (SUPVA), and also Vice-Chancellor of Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak. The Guest of Honor was Sh. Harish Kataria, Bollywood filmmaker and Executive Council Member of SUPVA. The day also witnessed the presence of one more renowned personality, Smt. Sharanjeet Kaur, Chairperson of the Deaf & Dumb Welfare Society, Haryana.

With all the glitz and glamour continuing, the surprise element, Sapna Chaudhary, the Dancing Queen of Haryana, visited PIET on February 2nd. The audience was enthralled by her presence, and many even became part of the stage. She amused the spectators with her dance moves to popular Haryanvi songs and expressed great pride while talking about Haryanvi culture.

Finally, the Star Night on February 3rd, a perennial feature of Maestros, was held with the usual fanfare, featuring singing, dance, and laughter. The star attraction and talk of the town was the Gabru of Punjab and king of countless hearts, B Praak. He set the stage on fire with his popular tracks such as ‘Teri Mitti,’ ‘Mann Bharrya,’ ‘Filhal,’ ‘Mastani,’ and many more Punjabi and Bollywood numbers. His performance was undoubtedly mesmerizing, and he rocked the stage on the coldest night, making it the hottest night with his glorious gala performance. This year, Maestros not only touched and surpassed past benchmarks but also created new milestones for the years to come.

Maestros 2019

Maestros+ 2K19 was held with the customary trumpet blast from 6th, 8th to 10th February 2019. It has been a regular feature for PIET to break its own records of participation in Maestros; however, this time 62 colleges and about 60 schools took part in the event. The 6th and 8th of February witnessed an overwhelming response from various schools. The students showed great fervor to participate in technical and cultural events.

During the fest, distinguished experts in technology and other cultural fields from various colleges and schools, along with elites from different departments, introduced new research trends and findings. These activities offered a unique conceptual learning opportunity for the students.

As part of innovative and integrated education, Maestros is a unique amalgamation of co-curricular and extracurricular activities such as street plays, dances, songs, ramp walks, AD-MAD shows, poetry, theatre, choreography, techno-quiz, etc. So far, high-profile figures like Yo Yo Honey Singh, Dr. Kumar Vishwas, Deep Money, Neha Kakkar, Kapil Sharma, Badshah, Sunil Grover, Ninja, and the latest craze, Guru Randhawa, have made this stage throb with their popular performances during the much-awaited star nights in Maestros.

Finally, the star-night on the 8th of February, a perennial feature of ‘Maestros’, was held with the usual fanfare, featuring singing, dance, and laughter. The star attractions and the talk of the town were Dr. Rahat Indori along with two other poets, who mesmerized the audience with their unique sense of humor. Shivam Grover and Mankirt Aulakh rocked the stage with their songs, while pulsating echoes of their tunes rippled through the air with flashing lights and sizzling music. The overall ambiance unleashed unbridled energy on stage and among the audience. On the 10th of February, the glorious function ended with the performance of Gajender Phogat, a Haryanvi singer, during which the audience enjoyed every moment and became part of the stage.

Maestros 2018

Maestros-2K18 was held with the customary trumpet blast from 31st January to 2nd February 2018. It has been a perennial feature for PIET to break its own records of participation in Maestros; however, this time 68 colleges and 55 schools took part in the event. The 31st of January witnessed an overwhelming response from various schools. During the EDM night, the students rocked the stage with their dance performances. The students showed great fervor in participating in technical events. Pushpinder from the Mechanical Department was awarded the Best Roadie of the Year 2K18.

The magnetism of the fest and the talk of the town was the star-night celebration with two great star celebrities: the great comedian Jay Vijay Sachan, who captivated the audience with his presence, comic touch, and hilarious mood, and Ninja, the dazzling Punjabi singer, who enthralled the audience with famous Punjabi numbers like ‘Roi Na’ and ‘Challenge’. Yes, it was a night of fun and frolic, singing and dancing, celebrating all the way with the fresh and raw talent of PIET combined with the star performer Ninja, the sizzling star from Punjab, who rocked the stage on the coldest night and made it the hottest with his gala and glorious performance. His singing ignited excitement in the crowd and made the spectators sing and dance to his tunes.

Maestros 2017

Maestros-2K17 was held with the usual fanfare, featuring singing and dancing, from the 17th to the 19th of January 2017. It has been a perennial feature for PIET to break its own records of participation in Maestros; however, this time more than 60 colleges and over 50 schools took part in the event. The main attraction of the fest and the talk of the town was the star-night celebration with two great star celebrities: Sunil Grover, the great comedian and ‘Doctor’ of Comedy Nights by Kapil Sharma, who enthralled the audience with his presence, comic touch, and hilarious mood, and Guru Randhawa, the dazzling Punjabi singer, who mesmerized the audience with his famous tracks like ‘Suit Suit Karda’ and ‘Yaar Mod Do’. Yes, it was a night of fun and frolic, singing and dancing, celebrating all the way with the fresh and raw talent of PIET combined with the star performer Guru Randhawa, the sizzling star from Punjab, who rocked the stage on the coldest night and made it the hottest with his gala, glorious, and rocking performance. His singing ignited excitement in the crowd and made the spectators sing and dance to his tunes. A special attraction of the Maestro was the medley sung by faculty and the PIET anthem. As is customary, the melodies of ‘The Song of PIET’ echoed through the air, spreading ecstasy in the hearts of participants and onlookers.

The star of Maestros 2K16 was Badshah, the heartthrob of the younger generation. Another new and unique attraction for the students was the adventure sports like rappelling, zorbing, and flying fox. The star of Maestros 2K15 was the heartthrob of the younger generation, Neha Kakkar, a versatile Bollywood singer, who stole the show with her sizzling songs like ‘Sunny Sunny’ and made the students dance to her tunes. The star of Maestros 2K14 was versatile Bollywood artist Javed Ali. The star of Maestros 2K13 was the actor, host, and stand-up comedian of Comedy Nights fame, Kapil Sharma, who is still remembered at the PIET campus for his hearty smile.
