Department of Management Studies (DMS) of Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology (PIET), Samalkha, Haryana organized two days online National Management Fest, PRABANDHAN MANIA – 2022 on 18th and 19th February 2022. The event consisted of three major events – Business Plan Competition, Case Study Competition, and Elevator Pitch. The inaugural ceremony of the event was graced by the honourable management of PIET Sh. Suresh Tayal, Sh. Rakesh Tayal and the Director of the institution Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Kumar. In his opening remarks Sh. Suresh Tayal highlighted the changes taking place in the business world and shared words of wisdom gained through his 40 years of industrial experience. Sh. Rakesh Tayal emphasized the need for entrepreneurial orientation of youth for the overall development of the economy. Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Kumar also highlighted the importance of start-ups in making the Aatm Nirbhar Bharat – An Initiative of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narender Modi successful.
The event was also graced by our guest of honour Mr. Rajive Gulati, Senior Programme Officer at UN Technology Innovation Labs. In his address to the participants, he gave them an insight into how a feasible business proposal can be developed concerning the fast changing business environment. More than 180 teams with around 400 students from more than 50 institutions participated in this event. Participants from a few of the top institutions of India participated in the event.
All the three events were judged by Mr. Rajive Gulati, Prof.Vijay Athawale, Dr Akhilesh Mishra, Mr. Parikshit Vaid, Dr Radha Garg, Dr. Saurabh Garg, Mr. Amit Singla and Mr. Manoj Kumar Chaudhary. In the Business Plan competition, team Flabrr from IIFT Delhi won whereas Aranyani from IIT Kharagpur was the runner up. In the Elevator Pitch, Ms. Ruchi and Ms. Aarti from PIET bagged the first and second positions respectively. Lastly in the Case Study competition the team of Rishabh Sachan and Khushi Gupta of Amity University stood first and the team of Ruchi, Kamal and Yashika from PIET grabbed second position.
The fest concluded on 19th February with the valedictory session. It provided great learning to the engineering & management students from young minds from the top institutions of the country with advice of our eminent judges. The event was organized in the leadership of Dr. Akhilesh Mishra, Head-DMS with the unconditional support of the Director-PIET and Management of the institution.
